What I like about my work

The wide variety of work means that every day is different and brings new challenges.  Knowing that the advice we give directly impacts upon our clients' lives always makes me strive to achieve the best possible result.

What I've done in the past

I graduated from Otago University at the end of 2002 and began my legal career as a graduate at Russell McVeagh in Auckland.  After 4 years there I headed to London to work for a Top 10 firm, before returning to New Zealand to complete a further 2 years with Russell McVeagh. When I began researching law firms in Dunedin at the end of 2008 the only firm I applied to was Anderson Lloyd. There is nowhere I would rather be.

My approach to working with my clients

I like to take time to find out exactly what it is my clients are seeking to achieve and then come up with practical and commercial solutions to help them reach their goals.  Every client is important and fostering strong working relationships with my clients is something I take really seriously.

What I enjoy at work

I feel really privileged to work alongside such a talented group of people. Being a large firm with three offices in the South Island means that our clients have access to a breadth of knowledge and expertise.

What I enjoy outside of work

I recently gained my PADI dive certificate so I am really looking forward to trying out some dive sites, hopefully in water warmer than the Dunedin harbour! I really enjoy spending time in Central Otago and I also love exploring the fantastic walks and beautiful beaches in and around the Otago Peninsula.

What I enjoy about living in the South Island

I love the lifestyle down here and the fact that I can have a top quality legal career without sacrificing my life outside of work. I am very proud to be from Dunedin and I love that the firm is as passionate about the South Island as I am. My husband and I love spending time in the great outdoors so Dunedin is a great base for us.
